Shape CareCare Services is an organization that is dedicated to developing at-risk teens and children holistically. Our mission is to improve the lives of families by providing quality programs and services, backed by years of research and studies that are proven to yield our children with the greatest outcome and will perpetuate future success. Shape’s programs include our virtual after school program - Renew is designed to make a noticeable impact in our children’s behaviors with the forming of new thought patterns and practices through active engagement and participation. Renew helps our children to understand the complexities of human behavior as well as provide conflict resolution strategies through various modes of communication. Renew is also designed to help create stronger bonds in families through our Connections Activities as well as bridge the gap between the home and school environments giving our parents the peace of mind they deserve.
Social Emotional Development
Studies have shown that Social Emotional Learning or SEL’s plays a vital role in developing the whole child. The utilization of SEL’s and its practices is an effective tool with proven effectiveness in a child’s day-to-day environments (home, school, social programs). It helps children to grow and better relate to their peers, parents, teachers, and others in their microsystem.
Value-Based
Learning
Our Renew program includes value-based learning or VBL’s activities that help children understand who they are as individuals to help them become acclimated to their design and maximize their potential. VBL’s activities help to build your child’s self-esteem and confidence as well as recognizing the values of others with our team-building exercises.
Parent Connection Aides
Renew’s program also includes Parent Connection Aides or PCA’s assigned to each registered child based on the needs assessments of the family. Our PAC’s are highly trained and passionate about connecting with our families for the collective efforts of developing each child. Our PCA’s will aide in connecting with parents by providing feedback in our advance reports.
